eLearning Program
With the increased use of ICTs in the classroom, it is important each student has access to a device to supplement their learning.
Since 2019, the school has offered two models for student access to technology in the classroom and at home. A school managed Choose Your Own Device (CYOD) program and a self-managed Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program.
In 2026, our school will full intergrate the BYOD program for new enrolments across all year levels. The CYOD program will continue only for existing students participating in the current program.
The BYOD program allow students to have access to a wide range of school resources via wireless connectivity throughout the school campus. This includes curriculum unit plans, curriculum resource material, electronic textbooks, assessment tasks, online virtual classrooms and a communication portal. The core purpose for a device at school is for educational purposes.
The BYOD program provides families with the flexibility of purchasing their choice of device. This needs to meet the minimum specification guidelines in order to connect to the school network, internet and printers. Consideration also needs to be given to the length of manufacturer's warranty, accidental damage protection, software required and insurance.
