Before BYOD devices can connect to our secure school network, they must be enrolled with Microsoft Intune. This process will need to be completed for each device, so if your student changes or upgrades their device in the future, please follow these steps again.
Preboarding checklist:
- You will need to have your school email address and the password that is used to login to the computers at school. If you need a password reset contact the Resource Centre.
- Your computer must be running Windows 11 and it can't be in S Mode. Click Here External link to visit Microsoft help on disabling S Mode.
- The account you are using must have Administrator rights, as per the account set-up guide.
- The computer must be connected to the internet.
- Don't install any security software until after the computer has been onboarded. (Windows 11 has its own inbuilt virus protection)
- Do not sign in with your child's school email account when initially setting up the laptop. The laptop should be set up with a personal account.
- The windows login you created for your student will be the account used.
