When first turning on a laptop after purchasing, students must be set up with a Microsoft account that has administrator access. The student should enter their personal email address when prompted (for example, @live.com or @gmail.com).
If your child is under 16, you may be asked to add a parent/guardian account to the device first to give permission for them to create their own account.
By default, a Microsoft account is set up as an administrator. However, if you are asked to choose between “User" and “Administrator," please select Administrator. This is essential for the student to download the necessary BYO program and app onto their device.
When prompted, please create a password for your laptop as this ensures security. The password you create must be retained by family/student as it cannot be reset by the school.
