We're proud to announce our partnership with the b kinder Foundation as the first secondary school in Australia to be named a b kinder school. In Week 7 of Term 2 at whole school Parade we officially announced our first b kinder ambassadors who will lead initiatives to help our students continue to spread kindness within our school community and broader and reflect on the power of positive actions towards someone else.
Congratulations to you all! It is a great privilege to work with
the b kinder Foundation on a journey to ignite empathy, compassion, resilience, and confidence in our students from Years 7-12.
B kinder ambassador and former Proserpine State High School graduate, Tessa Jolley visited our school and shared her personal story about why b kinder day is important. Tessa inspired us with easy ways we can all spread a little kindness every day through small acts that can have a big impact.
In the final week of Term 2 our school recognised b kinder day with a free-dress day where students were encouraged to wear multicoloured, bright and sun safe clothing. Our b kinder ambassadors and Student Representative Council ran a sold-out stall selling b kinder cards and soft drinks in the Quadrangle at lunchtime to raise funds for the b kinder foundation. Well done to you all on your efforts spreading kindness whereever you go!
